My aim is to spend some time each day physically papercrafting. It doesn't have be long, it just has to be something... </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify">The result of this seems to be that I am now dreaming about papercraft. Two nights in a row I dreamt of a card with the sheep from the Pun Fun set stamped all in a row and mounted onto a Kraft card base. After the second dream I decided that it really was time to try to make the card...and the results are below. </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify">I was actually really happy with how it turned out and even went looking on the web for it because I couldn't believe I dreamt it up and thought I must have copied it from somewhere...but no, I think I really dreamt it up!</div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5482954938878376994" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQq9WS_4RTKR34ZT7YtSlg00QgOjjUiysJ3XOML0jlER0LakQrP6mb3U84etHm-cQ_eWxnqZcLtzSCIrHe8LmzEZIKAGIGroI3dd9lnedktzdak9tN_jiEM_ckrAD-O3Pq-tbZibGiOqs/s320/PunFun+Sheep+for+web+watermark.JPG" /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:85%;">Here is what I used:</span><br /><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>Stamps:</em> Pun Fun</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>Ink:</em> Basic Black, Riding Hood Red marker</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>Cardstock:</em> Kraft, Riding Hood Red, Washington Apple DSP</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>Accessories:</em> Scallop Border Punch, Small Heart Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Jumbo Grommet, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon</span></div><p><em><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><strong>Kylie</strong></span></em></p><p><strong><em><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;">xo</span></em></strong></p>Kyliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18221678942131544122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8835924332670911285.post-19629984566679410012010-05-16T11:58:00.018+10:002010-06-15T20:58:36.234+10:00Stamp-a-stack ProjectsAs promised, here are some snaps of the projects we worked on yesterday at the Stamp-a-stack (SAS). The idea of a SAS is to build up your stock of cards by having a mini-production line. Yesterday's class consisted of 10 cards (3 designs) with the focus on buildong our stock of gender neutral cards.<br /><br />The first card (below) is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/">Split Coast Stampers</a> though I am very naughty and do not remember the person who posted it to give them credit. <em>Edited to add: all credit for this design goes to</em> <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1627724?&cat=17298">Kimberly Joy </a><em>on the SCS website</em>...<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5471687449185039634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsDWTzsSdAF-YjBgh-T0gOESCZkk2YQrchtNMD8Q9bQjaWDJk77kKwmOvG5De4PTpJz7r9lYGNe4nwTMtZgxpr6OvOY66N3p8LpqdTsTOJX8ssaS_OTgFuVpzcZC7h5QUIMnNYT8RAIgA/s320/SCS+CASE+May+SAS.JPG" /><br />Next are two designs based on sketches from <a href="http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/">Clean and Simple Stamping</a>. This site is a great resource which I highly recommend.<br /><br /><p align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5471706677746929026" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2pKBCPuBT0TvYv1a8Na3TX77dIkKz5hvhla95U5LKnB4-mAgdG533yNVuMXFieWnwltojIj7L0iuE5zzrjriCDnLmDim8cYT0trCeHiUMik8txj5JpjKRXHRIsKUwZ9QsdUAxoKXKwzk/s320/CAS+FTL+SAS+May+2.JPG" /></p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5471707040040578514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1bmIh8TJaLBknqcLiFnQQlan8Sa-hHl8oiRptLMQ22US3tw9FWskFGjHzTnag1XVNcuVM0uyOY-joDJsfMp4dv79uSOr_DSNhmFgvHdDgdF39hf6FKYZTC_6qTj9OqjleD7v1AKfbZi0/s320/CAS+FTL+SAS+May+compressed.JPG" /><br />As you can see each card is simple enough that we were able to complete 10 cards in the allocated 2 hours, with time to spare for lots of chatting and snacking, of course. I hope all the girls had a nice afternoon, I know I certainly did...<br /><br />Happy Stampin'<br /><br /><span style="font-family:lucida grande;color:#006600;"><strong><em>Kylie</em></strong></span><br /><strong><em><span style="color:#006600;"></span></em></strong><br /><strong><em><span style="color:#006600;">xo</span></em></strong><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><strong></strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><strong></strong></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><strong>Card Details</strong>:</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;">First photo:</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Stamps</em> - Circle Circus, Occaisional Greetings</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Cardstock</em> - Whisper White, Old Olive</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Ink</em> - Old Olive, More Mustard, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Other</em> - Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon</span></div><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;">Second Photo:</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Stamps</em> - Occaisional Greetings</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Cardstock</em> - Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Good Morning Sunshine DSP</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Ink</em> - Chocolate Chip</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Accessories</em> - 1 1/4" square punch</span></div><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;">Third Photo:</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Stamps</em> - Animal Stories, Happy Moments</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Cardstock</em> - Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Washington Apple DSP, Chocolate Chip Patterns DSP</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Ink</em> - Chocolate Chip, So Saffron</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:78%;"><em>Accessories</em> - Scallop punch, 1 #/8" circle punch</span></div>Kyliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18221678942131544122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8835924332670911285.post-2041063504617725942010-05-15T20:32:00.003+10:002010-05-15T20:44:04.013+10:00I'm Back...What a terrible blogger I have been. I just spent an afternoon running a Stamp-a-stack for a lovely bunch of ladies, and in talking to them realised that I urgently need to update my blog! It is late (for me!) now, but I will post some samples of the Stamp-a-stack cards tomorrow.<br /><br />Happy Stampin'<br /><br /><strong><em><span style="font-family:georgia;color:#006600;">Kylie</span></em></strong><br /><strong><em><span style="color:#006600;"></span></em></strong><br /><strong><em><span style="color:#006600;">xxoo</span></em></strong>Kyliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18221678942131544122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8835924332670911285.post-35184394896099945982010-03-01T19:33:00.006+11:002010-03-01T20:02:47.897+11:00Phoebe's Punch ArtWe've all been sick here over the past couple of weeks (that's why I have been such a bad blogger) but over the week-end I was having a play around with some punch art. I haven't done much before so I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) a frog and and owl to start with. I found them both on <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/">Split Coast Stampers</a>, a site that I highly recommend. Below are my versions...<br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443585219383469010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN0Hgpb0cSOqC-PLcROep6I6_HRE7GgkBWcHYpRFTgyuJQKjErHtwDb4ZjA4rY3xzkFP-wauQSipZjQx_fiER4kkRxdwRT8R_-OI4GQIUBj3JTkvDJx_1djxAZZ69Rtb8Qt49dPossCms/s320/Owl+and+Frog+punch+art.JPG" border="0" />I was pretty happy with them, though they are both yet to find their way onto a card or scrapbook page. My daughter Phoebe was impressed too, and came up with her own creations...she is much more origional than me and created them from her own imagination.</p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443585747249905762" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIoXCEbCHLEv6mhUPIFAOPicCeCbALHwzkwoWCILQxX6wTg776SeOBZsQxauOGu_DW117UphXnn-5DvUzcM_9j_xFBdmNMTEiWHqvwggPznOB2UMjL_UY8WN1LyGGYcM9jTljDm5jZxMo/s320/Phoebe's+Punch+Art.JPG" border="0" />Can you tell what they are? Obviously, the lion is on the right and the panda is in the middle. The one on the left is a meerkat! She's done such a great job, I just had to post them here.</p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>All the punches we used are SU! and include:</em></span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;">Scallop circle, 1 1/4" circle, 1/2" circle, 1/16'' circle, Wide oval, Large oval, Small oval, Word window, Horizontal slit and Round Tab. I entered my very first cardmaking challenge this week. The challenge is for a forum I belong to called ESAD (Extremely Special Aussie Demonstrators) which is for Aussie and NZ Stampin' Up! demonstrators. I've never been confident enough to enter a challenge before but decided it was time...and I'm so glad I did, because I just found out I won! I'm still don't quite believe it and have to keep checking the e-mail. Thank you to Tanya at ESAD who runs the challenges for choosing my card, it has given my confidence such a boost!<br /><br />Here is my entry;<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436383204010697490" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT-A739njIMlGtE1d-rFjqvUVh-LoQ4USXIVvUGIhWOzbppngTTuRylN_m29ANpaELbaz6cPNB3sMETBwFoye6mlboe8SYIZJAbHoGoe-S-qY1et7gsaVTXd1xqH4yVyqrXmGbXF10mQw/s320/Masked+snail+and+butterfly+CASE+challenge+ESAD+web.JPG" /><br /><br /><p><strong><span style="font-size:85%;">Card details:</span></strong></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"><strong><em>Stamps:</em></strong> Garden Whimsy, Inspired by Nature, Occasional Greetings</span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"><strong><em>Ink:</em></strong> Old Olive, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Barely Banana, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery</span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"><strong><em>Card:</em></strong> Old Olive, Rose Red, Regal Rose</span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"><strong><em>Accessories:</em></strong> Scallop Border Punch</span></p><p><span style="font-size:85%;"></span></p><p><span style="font-size:130%;">Cheers, </span></p><p><em><strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;">Kylie</span></strong></em></p><p><br /></p>Kyliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18221678942131544122noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8835924332670911285.post-18043757131354100242010-02-08T21:17:00.006+11:002010-02-08T21:30:14.007+11:00Mum's CreationsOh dear, I have been a long time between posts. I have been spending heaps of time with the hubby and kids, hanging out, going swimming...and stamping, of course! It's actually been really nice to just be stamping for fun at the moment without the subtle pressure of upcoming workshops or classes. I love both workshops and classes but a break is nice, too. </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427919320997705474" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDjBzGeObAnYmQuCLcEDlnebU3cCTiuorrCqlY94lnPvKf0pW29c1X4eSdiEUBletnln5-M_iZ7bSsqhW80eoKSEt7AgMHA9AjsHF0vAMfGDFiseyqIZD03PETWurKjyQbk8uavaSqNbg/s320/2008+scrapbooking+family+year.JPG" border="0" /></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify">Since I joined Stampin' Up! I have been loving the card making, but I have sorely neglected my first love, scrapbooking. For me, scrapbooking is so much more than photo albums. It's about recording and preserving my families history, and when I am scrapbooking I become so absorbed - it's totally therapeutic. So, today I am sharing with you my first Stampin' Up! scrapbook page. </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify">Each year I choose a photo, and write a brief summary of the main events of the year and complete a 6" x 6" double page layout. I always keep them very simple. These yearly summaries live in a special album of their own, so that no matter how far behind I may become with the family album the years are recorded. It has become a great little album to look back on...though I am a year behind. The layout above is for 2008 (just waiting for the photo to arrive from Snapfish). I will share 2009 with you when it is complete. </div><p>Here is what I used:</p><p><em>Stamps:</em> Hello Again (Summer Mini, pg 14)</p><p><em>Cardstock:</em> Old Olive, Whisper White, Good Morning Sunshine DSP</p><p><em>Ink:</em> Summer Sun</p><p><em>Accessories:</em> Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, Hodge Podge Hardware, (non-SU! date stamp)</p><p>Cheers, </p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#009900;">Kylie xx</span></strong></em></p>Kyliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18221678942131544122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8835924332670911285.post-57356843084910514562009-12-23T15:33:00.009+11:002009-12-23T20:43:05.330+11:00First attempt at a mosaic!!I am so stoked, I finally attempted and completed my first ever mosaic!<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5418287997532280690" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 323px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNV8FjWcn1RE7uWF2FnWRouDr85aWJJmRCDFVXL2bumdDYBCY93QueDh8h4iek2YT-Dj4Lepli_TKfI-EN8o39ekS2anNhyGtU-ki8yhlNc9intNkAias8mWXMDH9OX0wcc5AlIO9U6us/s320/First+Mosaic+compressed+for+web.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div align="justify">Here's the story...my sister has just bought her first house, and I have her and her partner for our family Kris Kringle.
